A Beginners Guide to Journaling
Journaling is sometimes slept on and can be so useful for organizing thoughts, reducing stress, and gaining clarity. We decided to make a brief guide to help you get started if you're new to journaling...
Some tips before you start:
- Set aside the time! Scheduling time is a great way to make sure you get it done.
-Make sure you have a few minutes with no distractions. We like using do not disturb, or leaving our phone outside of the room.
-Remember it is a judgement free zone, and whatever comes to your mind don't be afraid to put down!
Prompts to get started:
- Write about a recent experience that brought you joy
- Write a letter to yourself in 5 years, describing the story of your success
- What is something you are grateful in this moment
-Write about a person who has had a positive impact on you
Don't be discouraged if it isn't easy at first. We want progress not perfection!
